Portland, OR – Clackamas County has selected Parametrix to conduct a feasibility study for the Oak Grove-Lake Oswego Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge. The bridge, referred to as the “OGLO” bridge, will extend across the Willamette River, connecting two high-density residential areas while closing a key gap in the regional trail system. This concept has been discussed for nearly a decade and the feasibility study will determine if it is possible and identify alternatives.

“A pedestrian/bicycle bridge connecting Oak Grove and Lake Oswego provides long-term business and recreational benefits for the two communities” said Parametrix project manager Mike Pyszka, PE.

In an article about the project featured on Lake Oswego Review, Lake Oswego City Councilor Jeff Gudman stated that the project is “probably the most significant active transportation project in the Metro region.”

The project team includes JLA Public Involvement and HDR Engineering. This team is currently also working together on the Burnside Bridge Rehabilitation project.
