Albuquerque, NM – Priscilla Benavides, PE has joined Parametrix as a Senior Consultant, bringing over 25 years of experience in transportation engineering, design, and project management and development.
Benavides comes to Parametrix from the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) where she managed both construction and design teams. Most recently, she served as Regional Manager for the Central Region Design Division. There she was responsible for delivering the Department’s State Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP) along with providing engineering, design, and project development expertise for NMDOT’s districts three and six. She was responsible for delivering several multi-million-dollar projects within the region.
Her project experience includes design oversite of three major river crossings in the Albuquerque Metropolitan area: US 550 in Bernalillo, NM 6 Los Lunas, and the Rio Bravo. In addition, she designed and developed many projects on the I-40 Corridor including interchanges and full roadway reconstruction. Within that same corridor, she led NMDOT’s first digital delivery project, which involved the reconstruction of a portion of I-40.
Benavides was awarded a fellowship with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) in Washington, DC, where she gained insight in transportation policies while assisting several national transportation committees.
At Parametrix, Benavides joins the firm’s Albuquerque office, providing transportation engineering and design services to public agencies across the state, including the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County.
